So naturally I decided to read some really amazing romance books that I have been meaning to read. Particularly, Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood, which is literally one of the best romance books to read for young adults. It’s fun, flirty, relatable, spicy, and oh-so addicting. There were many nights I stayed up reading this intoxicating romance book.
With all that being said, Ali Hazelwood has a loyal fanbase and I am sure many of you would like a books to read list that reminds you of her best books. So here it is; the ultimate romance books to read for young adults that love Ali Hazelwood, and the men she writes. 😉
You can expect all the love, passion, and spice in the romance books to read below that will utterly melt your heart.

The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas
Book Synopsis: Catalina Martín desperately needs a date to her sister’s wedding. Especially since her little white lie about her American boyfriend has spiralled out of control. Now everyone she knows—including her ex and his fiancée—will be there and eager to meet him.
She only has four weeks to find someone willing to cross the Atlantic and aid in her deception. New York to Spain is no short flight and her raucous family won’t be easy to fool.
Enter Aaron Blackford—her tall, handsome, condescending colleague—who surprisingly offers to step in. She’d rather refuse; never has there been a more aggravating, blood-boiling, and insufferable man.
But Catalina is desperate, and as the wedding draws nearer, Aaron looks like her best option. And she begins to realize he might not be as terrible in the real world as he is at the office.
You girls already know how much I LOVE Aaron Blackford. The Spanish Love Deception is a great 2/5 spice book if you’re looking for romance books to read for teens. This is a great introductory romance book to read if you want to dip your toe into closed door romance books.
If you want to try your hand at dark romance books then my beginner’s guide to dark romance is the post for you to read next!
Aaron Blackford is a stoic man who shows you his love through his actions more so than through his words just like Jack Smith in Love, Theoretically. If you want a book boyfriend who sees you for who you truly are and loves every single part of you then look no further for another romance book to read than this one.

A Promise Of Fire by Amanda Buchet
Book Synopsis: Cat Fisa isn’t who she pretends to be. She’s perfectly content disguised as a soothsayer in a traveling circus, avoiding the destiny the Gods—and her dangerous family—have saddled her with. As far as she’s concerned, the magic humming within her blood can live and die with her. She won’t be anyone’s pawn.
But then she locks eyes with an ambitious warlord from the magic-deprived south and her illusion of safety is shattered forever.
Griffin knows Cat is the Kingmaker—the woman able to divine truth through lies—and he wants her to be a powerful weapon for his newly conquered realm. Kidnapping her off the street is simple enough, but keeping her by his side is infuriatingly tough. Cat fights him at every turn, showing a ferocity of spirit that burns hot…and leaves him desperate for more. But can he ever hope to prove to his once-captive that he wants her there by his side as his equal, his companion—and maybe someday, his Queen?
We already know that Griffin Sinta is THE rugged warrior man of booktok. If you’re looking for the best romantasy books to read in 2025 then rank A Promise Of Fire high on your to-be-read list, because this is where the die-for-you romance is at.
If you like your book boyfriends to always do what’s right, follow their code of honor, be noble, and carry that respected king energy then Griffin Sinta is definitely for you. Reading this whole series was such a fun experience for sure.

When In Rome by Sarah Adams
Book Synopsis: Amelia Rose, known as Rae Rose to her adoring fans, is burned-out from years of maintaining her “princess of pop” image. Inspired by her favorite Audrey Hepburn film, Roman Holiday, she drives off in the middle of the night for a break in Rome . . . Rome, Kentucky, that is.
When Noah Walker finds Amelia on his front lawn in her broken-down car, he makes it clear he doesn’t have the time or patience for celebrity problems. He’s too busy running the pie shop his grandmother left him and reminding his nosy but lovable neighbors to mind their own damn business. Despite his better judgment, he lets her stay in his guest room—but only until her car is fixed—then she’s on her own.
Then Noah starts to see a different side of Rae Rose—she’s Amelia: kindhearted and goofy, yet lonely from years in the public eye. He can’t help but get close to her. Soon she’ll have to return to her glamorous life on tour, but until then, Noah will show Amelia all the charming small-town experiences she’s been missing, and she’ll help him open his heart to more.
Amelia can’t resist falling for the cozy town and her grumpy tour guide, but even Audrey had to leave Rome eventually.
If small town romance is more of your vibe then When In Rome is a great romance book to read to get you out of your reading slump. It’s a lighthearted fun and relaxing slow burn romance that you can enjoy without having to use your brain as much. (The readers that get it get it. 😀)
If you read any dark romance books and you need a breather, this is a great one for you. How are you liking these romance books to read for teens list so far, I would love for you to drop me your thoughts in the comment below. 🥰
Sarah Adams is one of the best romance book authors for small-town romances and she has a new book releasing this May, which I can’t wait for. But, you already knew that since you read my 2025 book releases by month post. 😄

The Only Purple House In Town by Ann Aguirre
Book Synopsis: Iris Collins is the messy one in her family. The “chaos bunny.” Her sisters are all wildly successful, while she can’t balance her budget for a single month. It’s no wonder she’s in debt to her roommates. When she unexpectedly inherits a house from her great aunt, her plan to turn it into a B&B fails—as most of her plans do. She winds up renting rooms like a Victorian spinster, collecting other lost souls…and not all of them are “human.”
Eli Reese grew up as the nerdy outcast in school, but he got rich designing apps. Now he’s successful by any standards. But he’s never had the same luck in finding a real community or people who understand him. Over the years, he’s never forgotten his first crush, so when he spots her at a café, he takes it as a sign. Except then he gets sucked into the Iris-verse and somehow ends up renting one of her B&B rooms. As the days pass, Eli grows enchanted by the misfit boarders staying in the house…and even more so by Iris. Could Eli have finally found a person and a place to call “home”?
Now there is a reason I put this somewhat unknown book on my romance books to read list, hear me out. I picked this book up on a whim and I never enjoyed it more. Eli Reese is charming, wholesome and just such a chill and fun guy.
When you read this romance book you can really tell that Eli is a standup guy and there is so much intrigue and plot twists interwoven throughout the book you won’t be able to put it down.
If you love modern fantasy romance, with a found family trope and a strangers to friends to lovers romance then this will be the best romance book to read next.

Sunkissed by Kasie West
Book Synopsis: Avery has always used music as an escape. But after her best friend betrays her, even her perfectly curated playlists can’t help her forget what happened. To make matters worse, her parents have dragged her and her social-media-obsessed sister to a remote family camp for two months of “fun.” Just when Avery is ready to give up on the summer altogether, she meets Brooks—mysterious, frustratingly charming Brooks—who just happens to be on staff—which means he’s off-limits.
What starts as a disaster turns into . . . something else. As the outside world falls away, Avery embarks on a journey of self-discovery. And when Brooks offers her the chance of a lifetime, she must figure out how far is she willing to go to find out what she wants and who she wants to be.
Fan favorite Kasie West is back with another unforgettable summer romance that reminds us falling in love is full of wonder, heartache, and—most of all—surprises.
If you feel like your next romance book to read has some musical elements to it then listen to this. Remote summer camp trip with her family, and the male love interest is a band leader and works for the camp, so them being together is a big no-no.
The interest is slow for you but you had him falling when you stumbled into his band practice. That alone should convince you that this may or may not be one of the best books on this romance books to read list. Just saying. 🤭
Thank you so much my dear for reading this post through to the end. I hope you enjoyed this top romance books to read list for teens and young adults. It was so much fun to rediscover some amazing books that I’ve read and thoroughly enjoyed.
